Before I introduce myself as an educator, researcher, and coach, I must make a slight detour through my past and formally introduce myself.

I was born in India, raised in British Hong Kong, and I have called the United States home for the past 20 years. These transnational experiences have shaped my understanding of the everyday challenges of navigating the cultural, institutional, and personal boundaries that define higher education. This experiential understanding informs and grounds my coaching practice.

With a Ph.D. in Education from the George Washington University and advanced training as an interdisciplinary qualitative research methodologist, I bring academic rigor together with a deeply student-centered approach. Being student-centered means I focus on you—your goals, your voice, and your challenges.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor support to your specific needs, whether that involves designing a clear research plan, breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps, or creating sustainable accountability systems. I take the time to listen, understand your learning style, and help you translate your ideas into strong academic writing that feels both rigorous and authentic. Together, we create space for your voice to come through, building confidence while addressing the stress, self-doubt, and overwhelm that can arise during the doctoral process.

As someone deeply invested in equity and representation, I have a particular passion for working with BIPOC and international scholars, supporting them in finding their scholarly voice while navigating institutional expectations. My own background—straddling multiple cultures and contexts—deepens my commitment to helping students honor their unique perspectives while thriving in academia.

As a coach, I see the dissertation as more than a requirement—it is a transformative journey of growth, resilience, and self-discovery. My role is to be your partner at every stage—whether you’re developing your research design, analyzing data, writing chapters, or preparing for your defense—so you not only finish strong, but also begin the next chapter of your journey with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
